“Mindfulness Meetups” Video Series

This mindfulness video series adapts some of the content from University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s “Mindfulness Meetups.” The information in these videos guides you in an applied practice that you can do in five minutes or less. These videos can be accessed at any time for your convenience and include an introduction, a breath focus, a movement/stretch focus, and a refocus video for when you are feeling distracted.

As of November 2022, an additional recording has been added to this series, How to Cultivate a Mindfulness Meditation Practice. Leslie Forstadt Ph.D., Extension Professor, Human Development Specialist who works with the Maine Agricultural Mediation Program, UMaine Farm Coaching Program, and the Maine Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network, takes a reading from Jack Kornfield’s “Introduction to Meditation” book, the chapter on “How to Cultivate a Daily Meditation Practice” and includes a short practice at the end.

Live Mindfulness Meetups are currently scheduled weekly, every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:45-9:00 a.m.

Contact Leslie Forstadt, Ph.D., Extension Professor, Human Development Specialist, Director of Maine Agricultural Mediation Program, at leslie.forstadt@maine.edu if you have questions or if you would like to receive the Zoom link and password to join any one of the Mindfulness Meetup sessions.

Thank you to Mari Glatter, 4-H Youth Development Professional, for video editing and accompanying music.
