WHITE CLOVER

Family: FABACEAE (The Pea Family)

Genus: Trifolium Species: repens

Description: White or pinkish, head-like flower clusters and 3-part leaves rise on separate stalks from a creeping stem. The flowers are 1/4 – 1/2″ long, pea-like, in long-stalked clusters about 3/4″ wide; turning brown with age.

Habitat: In addition to cranberry bogs, it can be found commonly in lawns, roadsides, and fields;

In Bloom: May – October
